Police Arrest Suspects in Taraba Killings of Officers

The Taraba State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Suleman Abdullahi, aged 30, and Idri Kauri, aged 33, in connection with the murder of three policemen and a vigilante leader in the Donga Local Government Area. The arrests followed intelligence gathering and a series of proactive measures taken by the police to address rising violence in the region.

The police recovered three service rifles from the slain officers and are committed to tracking down any remaining suspects across Nigeria. Additionally, two other suspects were apprehended for possessing 304 rounds of live ammunition during a stop-and-search operation.

The police command, led by Commissioner Morkwap Dongshal, has been actively engaging with community leaders and traditional rulers to enhance security and prevent further violent attacks, particularly in the southern zone of the state.
