Kidnappers Slash Ransom to N30m and Demand Motorcycles for Release of Abducted Plateau Travelers

Kidnappers in Plateau State have reduced their ransom demand to N30 million and requested three brand new motorcycles for the release of 28 travelers, including men, women, and children, abducted during a maulud event in Sabon Layi community. The victims were intercepted and kidnapped while attending the event, with the abductors demanding N1.5 million per person initially.

Efforts by the local government and security forces are ongoing to locate and rescue the victims. One of the relatives of the victims, Babawo Gwadab, whose seven nephews and nieces were among those kidnapped, shared the challenges faced in meeting the demands.
