Plateau Kidnappers Demand N1.5m Ransom Per Victim, Security Measures Increased

Kidnappers in Plateau State have demanded N1.5 million ransom per victim after abducting passengers during a Maulud celebration in the Sabon Layi community, Bashar district. The victims were reportedly abandoned at the scene, with the kidnappers contacting families for payment.

Ibrahim Musa, one of the victims, highlighted the financial difficulties faced by families in meeting the ransom demands. The Plateau State Police Command has initiated investigations into the incident, while residents are calling for enhanced security measures to address the growing cases of kidnapping and banditry in the region.
