Bandits Attack Three Villages in Kaduna, Displacing Residents

Armed bandits reportedly attacked three villages in Kaduna State, specifically Badoko, Alili, and Abashiya in the Kachia Local Government Area. The attack, led by a large number of gunmen wielding sophisticated weapons, forced residents to flee for safety.

Yakubu Samaila, a member of the Badoko community, reported that the gunmen arrived on motorcycles and initiated sporadic gunfire, causing panic among the villagers. During the raid, the bandits abducted the village chief, Mr. John Onomb, and looted several shops, taking away foodstuff and medical supplies, including hard drugs.

The entire population of the three villages fled, with many seeking refuge in neighboring areas such as Azara Katari. Samaila confirmed that the bandits appeared to be attempting to establish a permanent hideout in the region.

Security sources indicated that operations were deployed in the affected villages following the attack on Sunday, with at least two villages displaced and troops on the ground to restore normalcy.
