Kidnappers Strike Kebbi School Despite Security Warning, Governor Condemns Inaction

Kidnappers abducted 25 students from a school in Kebbi State shortly after security operatives left, ignoring warnings from the DSS. Governor Idri criticized the security agencies for not taking the intelligence seriously.

The DSS had alerted the state government and relevant agencies about the imminent attack. Despite the governor's efforts to secure the school, armed operatives allegedly abandoned the premises before the assailants arrived.

A special panel has been inaugurated to investigate the abduction and oversee rescue efforts.
