Plateau Government Condemns Violence, Urges Calm

The Plateau State Government, represented by Arc Samuel Jatau, has issued a strong condemnation of violent attacks in the Dorowa Babuj community, which occurred between February 19 and 23, resulting in the deaths of dozens of individuals. The government has expressed concern over the rising security tensions and has deployed security personnel to maintain law and order in the affected areas.

Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has called for calm among residents and emphasized the importance of cooperation with security agencies to prevent further violence. He described the attacks as barbaric and senseless, expressing condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The governor has directed security agencies to intensify operations in the area to ensure justice is served and has urged community leaders to remain vigilant and law-abiding, providing credible information to assist ongoing investigations.
