HURIWA Condemns Terrorist Attack in Kaduna State

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) condemned a terrorist attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, which occurred at midnight and reportedly resulted in the deaths of numerous women, children, and farmers. In a statement issued on Wednesday by National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, HURIWA described the assault as a barbaric act against humanity that necessitates an immediate and coordinated response from both the federal and Kaduna state governments.

The attackers invaded the farming community while residents were asleep, killing innocent individuals, setting homes ablaze, and abducting several others. HURIWA expressed condolences to the bereaved families and the people of Southern Kaduna, while also praying for the recovery of the injured and the safe return of those kidnapped.

The organization warned that such violence threatens the fragile peace efforts in Kaduna State and urged the Federal Government to enhance military and intelligence operations in vulnerable communities.
