Kogi Commissioner Praises Okun Unity Dialogue Success

Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, the Kogi State commissioner, commended Deacon Otitoju Olusuyi and the Executive of the Okun Development Initiative (ODI) for successfully organizing the Okun Unity Dialogue. In a statement issued on Thursday, Idris described the event as a testament to the Okun people's ability to unite despite differences.

He noted the significant attendance of traditional rulers, elder statesmen, professionals, political leaders, and community stakeholders, which underscored the initiative's credibility and the people's desire for unity. Idris received an award as Okun Pride for Community Service and urged the Okun people to maintain the momentum generated by the dialogue, emphasizing that it should lead to lasting understanding, unity, development, and political strength.

He encouraged the community to view their diversity as a strength and to work towards common goals for the progress of Okunland.
