Okumagba Urges Peace Among Warri Ethnic Groups in 2026

Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, the former Delta State Commissioner for Finance, called for peace among the indigenous ethnic nationalities in Warri Federal Constituency, which includes Itsekiri, Ijaw, and Urhobo. In a statement issued on September 17, 2026, he emphasized the importance of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence to foster development and improve livelihoods in the area.

Okumagba, who holds the traditional titles of Udu of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom and Eruvwu R’Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, acknowledged the role of various kings in promoting peace, including the Olu of Warri Kingdom and the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom. He urged continued dialogue and cooperation among the kingdoms and called for addressing unresolved grievances through legal means if necessary.

Okumagba's focus is on uniting the ethnic groups to attract infrastructure projects and investments, ensuring employment and thriving businesses for all communities in Warri Federal Constituency.
