Kogi Governor Ododo Calls Diaspora to Support Reforms

On Thursday, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State addressed Kogi citizens and Nigerians in London, urging them to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms and to project a positive image of Nigeria. He emphasized the need for the diaspora to invest in Kogi State and contribute their expertise and global networks towards national development.

Ododo stated that Nigeria's future relies on the collective efforts of its citizens, both at home and abroad. He praised President Tinubu for making tough decisions to reform the Nigerian economy, including the removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market, which he claimed have improved state financial capacities.

The governor also mentioned key federal interventions in Kogi, such as the approval of the Kogi International Airport, the Kogi Free Trade Zone, and efforts to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Company. He called for unity among Kogites to achieve sustainable development.
