Kogi State Schools to Reopen on February 23

Kogi State is set to reopen both public and private schools on Monday, February 23, after a mid-term break. This decision follows the indefinite closure of schools that was ordered on February 3 by the Kogi State government, which cited security measures as the reason for the shutdown.

The announcement was made by Mr. Matthew Salami, the Director of Basic and Secondary Education at the Kogi State Ministry of Education, who directed school heads to inform the general public about the resumption date.

School activities are expected to continue as usual after the specified date. The Ministry of Education expressed appreciation to students, parents, and staff for their cooperation during the break and indicated that further information would be communicated later.
