Kogi Works Commissioner Seeks Collaboration with Umahi

On Tuesday, Hon. Abdulsalami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi, in Abuja.

This visit was part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on road infrastructure development across Kogi State. During the visit, Deedat expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ongoing infrastructure drive, which has renewed hope for the nation.

He noted that the administration is committed to road development, yielding visible results nationwide. Deedat explained that the visit aimed to foster a stronger working relationship between the Kogi State Ministry of Works and the Federal Ministry of Works to enhance synergy in delivering quality roads.

He appealed for urgent attention to critical federal roads within Kogi, including Lokoja-Oken, Ajaokuta, and Itobe-Mopa-Isanlu roads, emphasizing that improvements would greatly benefit residents and commuters. Umahi praised Kogi State's strategic position as a gateway linking several parts of the country and assured continued federal support, disclosing plans to visit Kogi State soon to assess ongoing projects.
