Kumo Backs APC's Consensus Candidate for Gombe Governorship

Bello Usman Kumo, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, has accepted the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s consensus choice of Jamilu Isiyaku as the party's candidate for the 2027 Gombe State governorship election. Kumo expressed his respect for the party's decision, highlighting the significance of party unity.

He stated that supporting the consensus process is crucial for the party's success and for drafting the electoral act that allows political parties to choose candidates through consensus. Kumo acknowledged the importance of the consensus option and affirmed that it aligns with the party's position, leaving no better alternative than to adhere to the party line.

He praised the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, urging support across the state to remain loyal to the APC and work towards the party's victory in the upcoming elections.
