“KWAM 1 is Prodigal Son”: MC Oluomo Makes Dramatic Appeal to Tinubu Over Ban on Singer

MC Oluomo, the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has made a dramatic appeal to President Bola Tinubu to pardon the Fuji icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam 1. Kwam 1 is currently serving a ban for allegedly breaching aviation rules on a ValueJet Airlines flight from Abuja to Lagos.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria accused Kwam 1 of practicing prohibited activities during the flight, leading to an altercation with a flight attendant. MC Oluomo likened Kwam 1 to a prodigal son who has realized his mistake and should be given another chance.

He urged authorities to focus on reconciliation rather than punishment. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, are currently investigating the incident.

Kwam 1 had previously released a recording recounting the confrontation with the ValueJet employee, sparking a public debate.
