ADC Accuses APC of Plotting to Destabilize Party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Tuesday, signed by its National Public Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, alleging that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is attempting to destabilize the ADC. This claim follows increasing pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to interfere with the ADC's leadership structure.

The ADC's statement referenced a letter dated March 28, 2026, written by a senior advocate, which purportedly aimed to push INEC to invalidate certain decisions made by the ADC. The ADC's legal representatives have urged INEC to alter the party's leadership arrangements pending a court decision regarding internal disputes.

The ADC described these actions as part of a broader plan to destabilize viable opposition parties in Nigeria. Additionally, the ADC addressed claims regarding internal leadership challenges, specifically mentioning Hon.

Nafiu Bala Gomb, who reportedly challenged the party's leadership and had previously resigned from his position.
