ADC Accuses APC of Plotting to Destabilize Party

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is orchestrating moves to destabilize the party in light of former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's recent defection. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's national publicity secretary, stated that there is pressure being exerted on the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof.

Joash Ojo Amupitan, to interfere in the ADC's internal affairs. Abdullahi described the situation as unsettling for the party and indicated that the APC is attempting to discourage high-profile figures from joining the ADC.

He mentioned a legal dispute involving a letter written by senior advocates of Nigeria that seeks to compel INEC to alter the ADC's leadership structure. Abdullahi emphasized that despite these pressures, the ADC's support base is growing and called on INEC to remain neutral and uphold its constitutional responsibilities.
