APC Allegedly Plotting Against ADC, Claims Mukhtar Adnan

Mukhtar Adnan, a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former aspirant for the Kano State House of Assembly, alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is plotting to weaken opposition parties in Nigeria. In an exclusive interview with Daily Post, Adnan described the ongoing leadership crisis within the ADC as an abuse of democracy.

The crisis began when the party's national working committee was dissolved, leading to the emergence of new leadership under David Mark as chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as secretary. Adnan claimed that the APC is interfering in the ADC's internal affairs, driven by fear of a strong opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its role in the matter, arguing that the commission acted outside its mandate. Despite the controversy, Adnan noted that the ADC is gaining grassroots support and urged the party to focus on building a strong platform for the upcoming elections.
