Kwankwaso Lacks Political Strength in Kano Elections

Faizu Alfindiki, the former chairman of Kano Municipal Council, asserted that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, does not possess the political strength to determine the outcome of the presidential elections in Kano. Speaking on Tuesday in Kano, Alfindiki addressed APC social media influencers and dismissed claims that Kwankwaso could deliver a large number of votes in the 2027 elections.

He argued that historical voting patterns in the state show that individual candidates, rather than political structures, influence election results. Alfindiki referenced former President Muhammadu Buhari's electoral success in Kano, noting that Buhari secured 1.6 million votes in the state in 2003, despite Kwankwaso being governor at the time.

He further stated that Kwankwaso's performance in the 2023 presidential election, where he scored below one million votes in his own state, demonstrates the limits of his political influence. Alfindiki expressed confidence that the APC remains strong in Kano and is not threatened by any political alliances.
