Kwankwaso's Political Influence in Kano Challenged

Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to late President Muhammadu Buhari, responded to claims made by Hakeem Baba Ahmed, the national chairman of the People's Redemption Party (PRP), regarding Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's political influence in Kano State. Ahmad asserted that Kwankwaso has never successfully delivered Kano to any presidential candidate, emphasizing that historical evidence contradicts Ahmed's assertions.

He pointed out that the political landscape shows that Kwankwaso's influence does not extend to supporting Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Ahmad's remarks highlight the ongoing political rivalry and the significance of Kano State in Nigeria's electoral politics, where Kwankwaso is currently a member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
