NNPP Condemns Court Judgment as Miscarriage of Justice

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), led by Rabiu Kwankwaso, has declared a recent court judgment a miscarriage of justice. The FCT High Court, presided over by Major Justice Bello Kawu, issued an order on November 25, 2025, restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing the leadership of the NNPP faction led by Dr.

Agbo Gilbert. The NNPP accused a rival faction, led by Dr.

Ajuji Ahm, of attempting to mislead the electoral commission despite existing court judgments affirming Gilbert's leadership. The NNPP's statement, signed by Ladipo Johnson, criticized the judgment as a dangerous precedent in Nigeria's judicial history, describing it as a blatant disregard for legal principles and an attempt to destabilize viable opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections.

The party expressed confidence that the appellate court would rectify the situation and uphold the sanctity of the law.
