Kwankwaso Announces Power-Sharing Deal with ADC

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and former governor of Kano State, disclosed a new political arrangement with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during a meeting with movement members in Kano over the weekend. The agreement entails a reduction in power-sharing percentages within the ADC to encourage broader participation among party members.

Kwankwaso emphasized that this decision was made to create room for inclusivity, reflecting a similar strategy previously adopted when aligning with the People's Democratic Party and Progress Congress. Currently, the Kwankwasiyya Movement holds leadership positions across all 44 local government areas in Kano State, including key local government chairmanship slots.

Kwankwaso urged members of the movement to exercise patience regarding the distribution of positions within the ADC.
