Kwankwaso Advocates Southern Presidency for National Unity

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, stated that a southern presidency in 2027 would significantly strengthen national cohesion and equity. He expressed his full support for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) in its decision to endorse a southern candidate for the presidency, advocating for a single four-year term.

Kwankwaso commended the party's bold decision, which he believes will enhance unity and democracy in Nigeria. He acknowledged the contributions of Seriake Dickson, the former governor of Bayelsa State, who he described as a national leader within the NDC.

Additionally, Kwankwaso expressed appreciation for Peter Obi, a member of the Obidi Movement, for his participation in the recent NDC convention, which aimed to unite party members across the country. He emphasized the need for the party to restore hope and promote unity to deliver a better future for Nigeria.
