Kwankwaso Demands Retraction from Primate Ayodele

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and current presidential candidate, has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Primate Elijah Ayodele, demanding a retraction of allegedly defamatory remarks made during a sermon. Ayodele described Kwankwaso as "fake" and accused him of betrayal, claiming he was paid to undermine political interests.

Kwankwaso, who has spent four decades in public service, emphasized that he will not allow unverifiable allegations to tarnish his reputation. His legal team, led by Magaji Mato Ibrahim SAN, has already sent a letter to Ayodele, demanding an apology and retraction by June 11, 2026.

Kwankwaso clarified that his actions are not intended to silence religious leaders but to protect the integrity of public discourse. He warned that failure to comply with his demands would result in legal proceedings.

As of now, there has been no official response from Primate Ayodele regarding the ultimatum.
