Kwara State Launches First Computer-Based Promotion Exam

Kwara State has introduced its first computer-based promotion examination for civil servants, as announced by Olufunk Shittu, the head of service. This initiative, which took place at the Kwara State College of Education in Ilorin, represents a major shift towards aligning the state's public service delivery with global standards.

The new digital examination system is designed to enhance credibility and eliminate inefficiencies associated with the previous paper-based methods. Shittu emphasized that this exercise is part of broader reforms aimed at improving efficiency and accountability across government ministries and agencies.

She noted the importance of embracing digital tools in modern public administration and assured that adequate technical support would be provided throughout the process. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's administration has been supportive of this innovation, which is expected to restore confidence in the promotion process and address longstanding issues such as missing scripts and delays in marking.
