Kwara State Launches Free Online Registration for Exams

The Kwara State Government has commenced a free online registration process for the 2026 placement examination for public junior secondary schools, commonly known as the common entrance examination. This initiative is aimed at primary six pupils seeking admission into public junior secondary schools across the state.

According to a statement issued by Peter Amogbonjay, the press secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, registration for pupils from private primary schools will begin on Tuesday, June 9, while registration for pupils from public primary schools will start on Friday, June 12. The registration process will close on June 22.

The Ministry has urged stakeholders to adhere strictly to the timeline and emphasized that the registration exercise is entirely free, warning school administrators against collecting fees from pupils or parents. Any individual found extorting candidates will face appropriate sanctions according to the law.
