Kwara Governor Pledges Vehicles for New Chief Imam

During a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, on Tuesday, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State pledged to provide brand new official vehicles for the cleric. The visit aimed to seek prayers for peace, stability, and continued development in Kwara State.

Abdulrazaq, accompanied by Lawal Olohunagba and other top government officials, congratulated Sheikh Dasuki, describing him as an emerging young Islamic scholar and a significant development for Ilorin Emirate. The governor reaffirmed his administration's support for religious leadership in the state and stated that the government would fully back the new Chief Imam's office.

Sheikh Dasuki, who is 42 years old, was appointed as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate on June 10, succeeding Abdulraheem Muritala. Prominent Islamic scholars commended the governor for his sustained support of religious institutions and spiritual leaders in the state.
