NDC's Ajia Promises Change for Kwara in 2027 Elections

Ajia, the gubernatorial candidate for the NDC, stated that Kwara no longer requires the APC or PDP, highlighting a shift in political sentiment among citizens. He reflected on his previous candidacy, noting that he did not complete the election process due to the need to consolidate opposition votes during the Ò Tó Gẹ́ movement.

Ajia claims to be better prepared and more experienced for the upcoming 2027 elections, having spent years building institutions and studying effective governance. He pointed out that the expectations from the Ò Tó Gẹ́ movement remain unmet, leading to deepening economic hardship.

Ajia emphasized that the NDC offers a new opportunity for Kwara, focusing on character, competence, and accountability rather than party affiliation. He introduced the Forward Kwara Agenda, which includes commitments to security, jobs, agriculture, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

His campaign is grassroots-driven, funded by personal contributions and lawful donations, and aims to mobilize citizens dissatisfied with the APC while avoiding reliance on traditional political patronage.
