Abdulmumin Ajia Launches 2027 Campaign in Kwara State

Abdulmumin Ajia, the governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kwara State, officially launched his campaign for the 2027 governorship election in Ilorin on Thursday. He pledged to prioritize security, education, healthcare, job creation, and infrastructure under his "Forward Kwara Agenda," aimed at providing an integrated development plan for the state.

Ajia criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), labeling them as representatives of "old politics" characterized by scattered projects and political convenience. He promised a different approach by linking various sectors such as security, education, and agriculture.

Ajia committed to strengthening public schools and health facilities, expanding affordable health insurance, and supporting local businesses. He emphasized transparency by stating his administration would publish commitments and timelines for accountability.

Ajia also toured Ilorin, engaging with residents and traditional leaders, and introduced Elder Ajayi Israel Awolowo as his running mate during the campaign flag-off.
