Kwara South Stakeholders Endorse Senator Ashiru for 2027

Stakeholders from Kwara South have officially endorsed Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, the Deputy Senate Leader, as their candidate for the 2027 governorship election. The endorsement comes from the Kwara South Peoples Network, a political support group that spans seven local government areas within the district.

Chief Hakeem Alani, the chairman of the group, announced the endorsement following extensive consultations with political leaders, professionals, community groups, women, and youth across the senatorial district. Alani highlighted Ashiru's credibility and capability to build on the achievements of the current governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

The group stressed the importance of unity and collective action to sustain development and ensure fair representation. They urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South to rally behind Ashiru as the preferred candidate, emphasizing the need for a strong and stable vision for the party's flagbearer in the upcoming elections.
