University of Ilorin Secures NUC Accreditation for 13 Programs

The University of Ilorin, under the leadership of its pioneer Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rashe Jimoh, has achieved full accreditation for 13 academic programs from the National Universities Commission (NUC), marking a significant milestone in its rapid academic development since its inception.

The accreditation exercise, conducted in November 2025, resulted in a 100% success rate for the programs evaluated. The accredited programs include Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language, Bachelor of Arts in English, Bachelor of Arts in History, Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies, Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Economics, Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Bachelor of Science in Physics, Bachelor of Science in Plant Science and Biotechnology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, and Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering.

Prof. Jimoh emphasized the university's commitment to maintaining an inclusive academic environment and adhering to quality standards set by the federal government.
