Labour Party Schedules National Convention for April 28

The Labour Party has announced that its national convention will take place on April 28, 2026, in Umuahia, Abia State. A statement issued by Ken Eluma Asogwa, the interim national chairman, detailed the formation of committees responsible for overseeing the electoral process.

These committees are tasked with ensuring a credible and transparent process during the upcoming congresses scheduled from April 23 to April 25, 2026. The ward congress is set for April 23, followed by the local government congress on April 24, and the state congress on April 25.

Nenadi Usman, the national chairman, urged party members to uphold the party's core values as they prepare for these events. The subcommittees consist of experienced party members drawn from across the federation to supervise the electoral exercise at the state level.
