Labour Party Announces New Appointments for Congresses

The Labour Party has made fresh appointments ahead of its congresses and national convention, which is set to take place on April 28, 2026, in Abia State. A statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Ken Asogwa, Senior Special Adviser on Media to the Interim National Chairman, outlines the formation of subcommittees tasked with overseeing the conduct of congresses across the country.

The appointed chairpersons include notable party members such as Iheanacho Obioma for Abia, Franci Kim for Adamawa, and Chief Toni Asuoha for Anambra, among others. The subcommittees are composed of experienced party members to ensure a credible and transparent electoral process.

Senator Usman has urged the appointees to discharge their duties with fairness and integrity, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming national convention.
