Labour Party Welcomes Bola Tinubu for 2027 Elections, Says Abia Deputy Governor

The Labour Party in Nigeria has declared its doors open to all Nigerians, including former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of the 2027 general elections. Abia State Deputy Governor Ikechukwu Emetu made this announcement during a report presentation on the new membership drive exercise organized by Nenadi Usman-led National Caretaker Committee.

Emetu emphasized the party's commitment to building a broad national movement that accommodates people from diverse political backgrounds and interests. He clarified that the Labour Party does not exclude anyone based on their political history or status.

Emphasizing that the party is a national entity and not a cult group, Emetu welcomed even the current president to join if he desires. The party's official meeting described the ongoing membership revalidation and registration exercise as a crucial step towards rebuilding the party's structure nationwide.
