APM Clears Princ Laja Adeoye for Lagos Governorship

The Alliance for Peaceful Movement (APM) in Lagos State has successfully screened its gubernatorial aspirant, Princ Laja Adeoye, along with 67 other candidates for various electoral positions ahead of the 2027 general elections. The screening was conducted by a five-man committee chaired by Mr.

Abiodun Abari, who disclosed the results in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday. The committee affirmed that it cleared three senatorial aspirants, 24 House of Representatives aspirants, and 40 aspirants for the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Abari emphasized the importance of presenting quality candidates and achieving consensus among aspirants, which he noted was a challenging but necessary process for the greater good of the party. The APM aims to strengthen its position as the main opposition party in Lagos State, forming an alliance with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the upcoming elections.

The screening process adhered to the guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
