Lagos APC Names Damilola Sonayon Deputy Candidate for 2027

The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced Damilola Sonayon as the deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial election. Sonayon will run on a joint ticket with the current deputy governor, Obafemi Hamzat, who is the party's flagbearer.

The announcement follows a successful maneuver to secure the governorship ticket for Hamzat, who has already received significant backing from the governor's advisory council and the outgoing governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
