Airport Staff Returns $1,700 and Passport in Lagos

On Wednesday, at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, airport staff member Frank Omoroji returned a lost purse containing $1,700, a British passport, and a credit card. The discovery occurred at the Rwanda Air check-in counter in the new Terminal 2 building.

Omoroji's actions were described as a patriotic display of integrity, which he executed without hesitation by handing the purse over to aviation security (AVSEC) officials, following standard procedures. An urgent announcement was made within minutes to reunite the female Nigerian passenger with her belongings, who had already resigned herself to the worst outcome.

Omoroji's humble act has sparked widespread praise among colleagues and officials, who regard it as a shining example of professionalism.
