Lagos State Reconstructs Tolu School Complex for 20,000 Students

The Lagos State government, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is undertaking a significant reconstruction of the Tolu School Complex located in Ajegunle, a densely populated area known for its poverty and lack of basic infrastructure. This project, which spans 12 hectares, will host 16 junior secondary schools, 15 senior secondary schools, and five primary schools, collectively serving approximately 20,000 students.

The complex will feature modern classrooms, laboratories, and extensive sports facilities, including football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and handball courts. Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of ensuring no child is left behind in education, aligning with his administration's commitment to improving public schooling quality.

The project was inspected ahead of its commissioning by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, marking a continuation of educational reforms initiated during Tinubu's earlier tenure as governor. The initiative reflects a strategic investment in education, aiming to address overcrowding and inadequate facilities in public schools across Lagos.
