Lagos Completes 362 Roads, 181 Ongoing Projects

Over the past seven years, the Lagos State Government has completed 362 road projects covering 347 kilometers, with an additional 181 projects currently ongoing. This information was disclosed by Olufemi Daramola, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Infrastructure, during a press briefing marking the third year of Sanwo-Olu's second term.

The administration has also completed 130 roads and several bridge projects to enhance connectivity across various regions, including Alimosho, Ikeja, and Lekki. Despite rising construction costs and economic downturns, the government remains committed to expanding infrastructure.

Notable projects include the rehabilitation of the Lekki-Epe corridor and the construction of link roads to improve access to industrial zones. The administration has also focused on urban renewal projects and flood management initiatives.

Since 2019, the Lagos State Public Works Corporation has repaired approximately 4,209 roads, covering 506 kilometers, reflecting a 300% increase in revenue attributed to regulatory reforms.
