Trailer Overturn Causes Major Traffic Jam in Lagos

An overturned trailer on Ogunnusi Road inward Berger in Lagos caused severe traffic congestion early on Sunday. The incident was due to mechanical failure, specifically a fault in the vehicle's suspension system, which resulted in the trailer's load of cartons spilling onto the road.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported that the accident occurred near Kosoko Junction, with the damaged trailer body resting on its tires. LASTMA deployed rescue personnel to the scene to manage the situation and ensure public safety.

Traffic management measures included cordoning off the area and implementing a contraflow via River Valley to ease the congestion. Recovery operations were ongoing, with updates provided as efforts progressed to restore free flow of traffic.
