Traffic Chaos in Lagos Due to Dual Accidents on Expressway

On Thursday, motorists on the Gbagada Expressway in Lagos experienced severe traffic congestion due to two separate accidents. The first incident involved two major trucks, while the second involved two trailers and five other vehicles.
Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) responded promptly, arriving at the scene around 5 AM. By the time of reporting, one truck from the first accident had been successfully removed, while efforts continued to clear the second.
At the secondary accident site near Charlie Boy, all five vehicles involved had been evacuated, and a tow truck was in the process of removing the two trailers still obstructing the road. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, the General Manager of LASTMA, confirmed that they had deployed a forklift and two tow trucks, with arrangements for a crane to assist in the operation.
The agency was committed to restoring normalcy on the expressway.
