Lagos Couple Allegedly Beats Adopted Daughter to Death

In a tragic incident in the Igando area of Lagos State, a couple, Paul Onyeama and Adlin Ogbonna, has been accused of beating their adopted 10-year-old daughter, Faith, to death. The abuse reportedly escalated on a Sunday after two weeks of maltreatment, which included sending the sick child on strenuous errands.

Despite Faith's illness, the couple allegedly continued to assault her, leading to her severe beating and subsequent death. Residents became alarmed when they noticed Faith was missing and discovered her body had been disposed of by Onyeama, who had left home earlier.

The couple was apprehended by local youths and the incident was reported to the Igando Police Division, who recovered Faith's body. Preliminary investigations revealed that she had already died upon arrival at a medical facility, contradicting the couple's claims that she was receiving treatment.

The state police, represented by Abimbola Adebisi, have vowed to pursue justice in this case.
