Killaboi's Murder Trial Adjourned to June 2026

The Lagos State High Court is currently hearing the case of Benjamin Nnayereugo, popularly known as Killaboi, who is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Augusta Onuwabhagb, on August 10, 2021. During the proceedings, DSP Oderind Gafar testified about Nnayereugo's arrest in Qatar, which was coordinated through international efforts, leading to his extradition to Nigeria.

The prosecution, led by Mr. Adedayo Haroun, presented a video recording of Nnayereugo's written statement made during police interrogation, which was admitted as evidence.

Cordelia Onuwabhagb, the victim's mother, testified about her daughter's relationship with Nnayereugo, expressing disbelief that he could commit murder. She recounted incidents of physical abuse during trips to Mauritius and Seychelles.

The court adjourned the case to June 17-18, 2026, after concluding the testimonies of the investigating officer and the victim's mother.
