Court Adjourns Agbowa-Ikosi Monarch Dispute to October 28

The Court of Appeal has adjourned the suit concerning the Agbowa-Ikosi monarch dispute to October 28. The case was filed by Mr.

Sahe Owolabi Momson Aduloju, who is challenging an earlier appellate judgment that removed him from his position as the traditional ruler of Agbowa-Ikosi. The matter was previously ruled on by a panel of justices, which included Justice Boloukuromo Mose, Justice Samuel Ademola, and Justice Bola Polycarp Terna Kwahar, who set aside a lower court's decision made on March 24, 2023.

The lower court had affirmed the Mabudej Royal Family's right to produce a candidate for the vacant stool of Agbowa-Ikosi. Mr.

Aduloju contends that he was not properly served notice of the appeal and was not informed of the proceedings that led to the judgment. Counsel for the Mabudej Royal Family, Mr.

Femi Falana SAN, urged the court to allow the case to proceed without unnecessary procedural delays. The case is expected to continue on October 28.
