IGP Disu to Decorate Newly Promoted AIGs, CPs Today

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Disu is scheduled to decorate newly promoted Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) today, Monday, as part of an ongoing internal reshuffle within the Nigeria Police Force. This event follows the recent promotions of these officers.

Sources within the police hierarchy indicate that the current Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Jimoh, is actively lobbying to retain a strategic role in the state. He is seeking a position either as the head of Zone 2 Command or within the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) at Alagbon.

The reshuffle is part of IGP Disu's efforts to strengthen police operations nationwide and to strategically deploy leadership adjustments across various commands. The Lagos FCIID office serves as a major investigative hub handling high-profile criminal cases, underscoring the significance of the roles being filled.
