Lagos Taskforce Arrests Suspects in Fagba Raid

On Thursday, Lagos State Taskforce, led by CSP Adetayo Akerel, executed a raid in the Fagba area, known for criminal activities such as robbery, rape, cultism, and drug trafficking. The operation turned chaotic when suspects, described as miscreants and street urchins, resisted arrest and set parts of the corridor ablaze, threatening nearby facilities, including a filling station and a bank.

The incident occurred during a coordinated clean-up exercise aimed at reclaiming public spaces from criminal elements. The Lagos State Fire Rescue Service intervened swiftly to control the fire and prevent further damage.

Several suspects were apprehended in connection with the arson and other criminal activities, and authorities confirmed that these individuals would face prosecution. CSP Akerel issued a stern warning to youths engaging in unlawful acts, urging them to pursue legitimate endeavors.

This operation marked the third major clean-up effort in the Fagba area this year, reinforcing the government's commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards criminal hideouts.
