Lagos Task Force Launches New Anti-Crime Patrol Unit

On Tuesday, the Lagos State Task Force, led by Chairman Adetayo Akerel, launched a dedicated anti-crime patrol unit at the agency's headquarters in Bolad Oshodi. This initiative aims to address and combat criminal activities that pose security threats to residents and visitors in Lagos State.

The unit is designed to operate as a rapid response team with the mandate to arrest and prosecute offenders involved in drug peddling and street urchin activities, particularly in areas known for criminal hideouts. The agency will intensify surveillance and patrol operations across identified flashpoints in the state to stamp out criminal activities.

Akerel emphasized the commitment of the task force to protect lives and property, urging residents to support the security agency by providing credible information. The patrol unit is structured to proactively detect, deter, and neutralize escalating threats to public safety.
