Akosile clarified that these reports are false and described them as "pure fabrications." He emphasized that Governor Sanwo-Olu is in excellent health and fully capable of performing his constitutional duties.

The clarification was deemed necessary following viral stories alleging that the governor was under immense pressure to step down, with Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat reportedly preparing for leadership.

Akosile reassured the public that there is no pressure on the governor to resign and that he continues to work diligently for the people of Lagos.
