Hoodlums Attack APC Leaders During Primaries in Somolu

On the day of the primaries in Somolu, Lagos, hoodlums invaded a polling center, attacking leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The assault targeted prominent figures including Mr.

Ajibad Ajayi, former APC chairman of Ward D, Mr. Primat Abraham, former APC chairman of Ward B, Mr.

Yomi Olubamid, former Somolu APC LGA chairman, and Mr. Samuel Oluyida, former APC chairman of Ward B.

The chairman of Somolu Local Government, Mr. Abdulateef Asimi, expressed disappointment over the incident, describing it as unfortunate.

He noted that such violence had not occurred in the council area before and emphasized the need for collaboration with security agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter. Eyewitness Mr.

Tund Adeyemi reported that the attack caused panic among party members. Mr.

Bamidel Onabamiro condemned the violence and urged party members to embrace peace and political tolerance, stressing that violence should not undermine the electoral process.
