Lagos Opens New Driver Training Centers in Oshodi, Apapa

The Lagos State Driver Institute (LASDRI) has launched two additional driver training centers located in Oshodi and Apapa as part of efforts to meet the increasing demand for driver education and road safety training across the state. The Oshodi facility is situated at the Isolo Local Government Secretariat, specifically at No. 5 Adel Road, off Warehouse Road, Apapa.

Afusat Tiamiyu, the General Manager of LASDRI, stated that the locations were strategically selected due to the intense traffic conditions and high vehicular activity along the Oshodi-Apapa corridor. The training provided will focus on specialized skills necessary for safe navigation through dense traffic, aiming to reduce road accidents and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.

Tiamiyu emphasized the importance of formal driver education in helping motorists understand road signs and traffic rules. The new facilities can accommodate 25 trainees per session and include administrative conveniences.
