Lagos Monarch Orders Overnight Lockdown for Egungun Festival Rites in Oregun Community

The Olu Oregun, Dr. Olusesan Olukunmi Akingbola, has mandated a mandatory overnight lockdown for residents of Oregun community in Lagos during the Egungun Festival rites.

The directive aims to ensure safety during the traditional midnight rites and prohibits anyone from being outside between 10 pm and 4 am. The Nigeria Police Force has been put on alert to deploy across strategic locations to enforce the lockdown.
